Our History
Metasa S.A. Indústria Metalúrgica was founded on December 30th, 1975, in the city of Marau, Rio Grande do Sul state.
Its initial production included frames and agricultural implements and in 1981 Metasa launched its production of Steel Structures, acquiring a prominent position among Brazilian manufacturers. Thus, the company started its search for product excellence, as well as its customers’ satisfaction.
Today, Metasa is a market leader due to its specialized Engineering solutions for Buildings and Steel Components, with superior technology and quality. Metasa designs, develops, manufactures and sells steel structures for buildings with multiple floors, buildings of processes, industrial pavilions, bridges, towers, pipe racks and offshore platforms.
Metasa is concerned with the improvement of its employees’ quality of life. Therefore, it promotes programs and offers benefits that encourage the relationship and the commitment to Company’s results. Since 2003, Metasa develops a drug abuse prevention program, which meets the demands of internal public and of the general community. As from 2006, it began to structure the work of the Environmental Management Program, which aims at the Company’s commitment to the future generations.
