Green Light for Life
Sinal Verde para a Vida da Metasa S.A. (Metasa’s Green Light for Life Program) started as from the execution of the program commitment settlement with SESI in November, 2002. This program is managed by an internal team of volunteers and its goals include drug abuse prevention and well-being of employees (inside and outside the company), of their families and the community in general; it also intends to promote work environment improvements, better quality of life for people and increased productivity rates.
Work is developed through an innovative methodology, using the prevention paradigm, in which information and guidance is used to help people acquire knowledge about the importance of life valuation.
The complete Program is developed by company’s employees included in a group trained and responsible for this Program, which demands a detailed plan and the consequent execution and/or coordination of activities. Managers and coordinators are also prepared and they are committed to this idea.
In 2006, Metasa received the stamp "Aqui se Pratica a Prevenção" (here prevention is practiced) for drugs and crimes prevention, granted by SESI and the United Nations, and in 2008 the company was granted again by the same institutions the same certificate. It proves that Metasa has a drug abuse prevention program and is concerned with the quality of life of its employees.
Among other awards, we highlight the stamp "Balanço Social Ibase/Betinho 2005" (2005 Ibase/Betinho social balance sheet), which qualifies Metasa as a company that adopts the information transparency, and Certificado de Responsabilidade Social (Social Responsibility Certificate) granted by the state house of representatives in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.
