Antônio Roso Takes Part in the Competitiveness Forum in Passo Fundo

Metasa's founder, Antônio Roso, was one of the panelists in the debate on
"Infrastructure, Energy and Competitiveness for the Development of the Northern Region,"
alongside Jerônimo Goergen, president of Aprobio, and Cristiano Rickmann, representing
Sulgás, moderated by journalist Zulmara Colussi.
During the debate, Mr. Roso emphasized that the productive potential of northern and northwestern
Rio Grande do Sul depends on structural investments to increase its competitiveness. According to
him, the limitations of the road network directly affect the transportation of the region's agricultural
and industrial output.
Among the proposals presented, Metasa's founder advocated expanding
rail infrastructure, suggesting a railroad linking Santa Rosa to the
future Porto Meridional in Arroio do Sal. According to Roso, the connection would make it possible to
transport production from northern and northwestern Rio Grande do Sul to the coast at lower cost and with greater
efficiency. The business leader also discussed the outlook for Porto Meridional,
highlighting the expectation that environmental licensing will be completed this year and
construction will begin in 2027.
The event was also attended by the mayor of Marau, Naura Bordignon, and was
closed by the lieutenant governor of Rio Grande do Sul, Gabriel Souza, who presented the
state government's view of the challenges and opportunities for economic
development, innovation and regional growth.
Moments like this strengthen dialogue, innovation and the commitment to the
sustainable development of our region.
Metasa: talent to build safer futures.
