Metasa crossed borders to take part in the project for Angola's largest clean, renewable energy plant: the Laúca Hydroelectric Plant. Built between 2014 and 2016, this monumental project on the Cuanza River (between the provinces of Malanje and Cuanza Sul) marked a historic chapter for the company.
More than 6,000 metric tons of steel structures were produced for this major project on the African continent. As our first project outside Latin America, it required rigorous planning for export and erection on a new continent.
This robust project confirmed Metasa's ability to deliver highly complex solutions anywhere in the world, reaffirming our technical and operational excellence.
